Zamboanga City based artist, Jupiter “Juan Pedro” Pollisco, has hone his skills in societal involvement and activism using visual art as reference for development and peace for the past several years. Originally a cartoonist, Juan Pedro blended his creative skills with his 20-years of experience in organizing visual art-related platforms through art exhibits, trainings, workshops, murals among others. He uses oil as his primary medium to painting emphasizing his impressionism work with lose brushstrokes and impasto. Pollisco‘s evolution into creative art allowed him to introduce various elements to this platform and extend the range of his talent even further. His use of dramatic, fertile and impressionistic subjects allows Pollisco to challenge the boundaries of modern art and its process utilizing depths and composition all together.
