Filipina visual artist from Laoag City

Grandjoy B. Agdigos is a Filipina visual artist born in Laoag City. Having grown up in a family of successful furniture and curtain business owners and having a sister who worked as an interior designer, Grandjoy had a deep appreciation for art from a tender age. She liked to draw and paint as a child, but it wasn’t until she was an adult that she realized her affinity for the arts. She pursued her dream and enrolled at the College of the Holy Spirit in Mendiola, Manila, where she later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising in 1995. She began working at Flora Arts Philippines and Duty-Free Philippines shortly after she graduated from college. Grandjoy had a change of heart and decided to refocus her career in 1998 by venturing into the restaurant and catering business. Grandjoy hosted her first solo exhibition in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, in 2000, demonstrating her commitment to the arts. When she’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find her in her own bubble, conceptualizing and creating. Her husband provided her with the encouragement she needed to pursue her dream of being a full-time artist, and now she has pursued that dream full-time. She had her second one-woman exhibit in 2015 and her third in 2021. She joined her first group exhibit with Filipino artists, “Panagyaman in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.” Her recent is her 4th Solo Exhibit “Expressions of Joy” last August 2023.
